Dr. Andrey Dembitsky is the creator and director at Hylan Animal Hospital located in Staten Island, NY. He studied veterinary medicine at Kharkov Veterinary Academy(Ukraine) where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and graduated with Honors in 1996.
Upon graduation he completed an externship in medicine and surgery at Lindsay Animal Clinic in Ontario, Canada.
In 2000 Dr. Dembitsky moved to New York where he received extensive training in Small Animal Ultrasound Diagnostics. In 2004 he joined Lefferts Animal Hospital in Queens, and is now excited to open a new hospital in Staten Island.
Dr. Dembitsky is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Veterinary Medical Association of New York, and the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.
Dr. Dembitsky has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
He lives in Staten Island with his wife, their three children and four cats. In his free time he enjoys BBQing, fishing, hiking, and reading.
